Pick-up rules: 7 vs 7 Teams are Created

GOAL KEEPERS - meaning persons that come to play ONLY in the goal - ALWAYS PLAY 100% FREE!
Teams are established using our various jersey tank-tops. Team colors / names will be listed on a whiteboard to ensure the same order is followed consistently. The rules are designed to maximize playing time for as many as show, so you will have fun no matter the scenario. Plus try the 1v1 and 2v2 Panna Cages or exercise in down time.
When 2 teams
- Games are 12 minutes in length.
- If 1 to 3 extra players arrive to play, these extras must be subbed in fairly among the two existing teams until more players arrive.
- Once there are at least 4 extra players have arrived to play, an additional team third team must be created (see WHEN 3 TEAMS below). The newly created third team may have to borrow willing players from the losing / resting team in order to have 7 players for each game.
when 3 teams
- Games are 8 minutes in length.
- If a tie, the challenging team stays on, and team that won previously now leaves.
- Winning team stays on indefinitely, for as long as they can keep winning!
when 4 teams
- Games are 7 minutes in length.
- 3 goals = instant win; otherwise most goals at time end wins.
- If a tie, both teams leave.
- Winning team stays on for a Maximum of 3 games (three wins in a row). After their third win, they and the losing team both leave, and the next two teams that had been waiting the longest enter to play. In the event that two or more teams have waited equally as long for their next match, which team shall enter to play is resolved by playing a three-round rock-scissor-paper game among captains.
when 5 teams
- Games are 6 minutes in length.
- All other rules the same.
WHEN 7+ TEAMS
- In this situation, the pick-up maestro has discretion to shorten game time or organize differently with the goal of equal enjoyment and play-time in mind.
