Bring both studs and flats to play both surfaces
MAIN FIELD / turf - Permitted Shoe Types
The main field is a rubber infill turf. So it is essential padded with small rubber crumbs that your footwear needs to dig into. For this field DO NOT WEAR FLAT or TENNIS SHOES. You should wear:
- FIRM GROUND CLEATS (only plastic, NO METAL STUDS PERMITTED): This type will dig in the best to give you the most speed and stopping power. However, you will get less street-like feel on the ball.
- ARTIFICIAL TURF SHOES: This type will give you a better feel on the ball, better for touches and controlled movements, but you will sacrifice having the speed bursts cleats will give you when chasing down the ball.
Panna Cages & STREET Court - permitted shoe types
The Panna cages and outdoor futsal court have a flat plastic surface. So it is essentially are hard floor. For this field DO NOT WEAR CLEATS. You should wear:
- INDOOR SOCCER SHOES: This type of shoe is designed for a flat surface. It would be too slippery on the rubber infill turf, but it is great on the court floor for giving you control and a street-like feel on the ball.
- TENNIS SHOES: Virtually "any type" of tennis shoe is also fine for these flat surfaces. In fact, many Panna pros, like Jeand Doest aka EASY MAN, will sport a pair of tennis shoes for their game.
